Holiday dinner basket surprise 2024- philadelphia, pa in 2024, the malcolm jenkins foundation continued its commitment to uplifting families during the holiday season through the holiday dinner basket surprise initiative.number of persons/ families benefitted 280 families representing more than 1,200 individuals received complete holiday food baskets and gifts for 800 children under 13.each basket included a turkey, essential ingredients for a full holiday meal; along withage-appropriate toys and gifts for children. The program was supported through local partnerships with community groups, schools, and faith-based organizations that helped identify families most in need.associated expenses for the initiative totaled approximately $40,000, covering food procurement, logistics, gift purchases, and volunteer coordination. The effort was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
Financial literacy / closing the wealth gap programthe program supports the fiscal-skills, investing, credit/debt topics, etc. The malcolm jenkins foundation and money vehicle llc (mv) partnership brings an enhanced financial literacy curriculum to empower high school students in philadelphia, pa, camden, nj, columbus, oh, newark, nj as part of its "closing the wealth gap" education initiative. The partnership strengths the impact of mjf's financial literacy programming with a semester long, 12-week in-class curriculum powered by money vehicle that supports teacher instruction and professional development and empowers student learning and application. The program benefited 905 students.
