Day services - mrci provides the opportunity to gain skills that promote community participation. While receiving quality support, participants are offered opportunities to: learn and apply essential life skills such as: self-advocacy, independent living, health and wellness, community safety, and social skills. Day services may be provided in one (or all) of the following ways:community based-day services provide the opportunity to gain skills that promote community participation. Community-based day services started in 2021.remote- remote day services provides the opportunity to gain skills that promote community participation in the safety of a virtual environment. While receiving quality support, participants are offered opportunities to: learn and apply essential life skills such as: self-advocacy, independent living, health and wellness, community safety, and social skills. A calendar of person-centered topics for personal and professional growth is provided monthly. Remote hosted more than 1205 sessions in 2024.ease-ease is a program for people with disabilities who are typically 55 plus, seeking meaningful experiences to fill their day as an alternative to work. Our experienced staff provide guidance and support while creating an enjoyable, individualized plan for participants to enhance community access and improve their social skills.
Employment services - mrci offers a variety of person-centered programs to assist individuals in finding and keeping a job in their community. At the core of these services is the desire to provide individualized services that meet the specific needs and wishes of the individual. A range of programs within transition services, placement services and long-term support services are included in the full menu of programs to support the individual succeed in their career. 211 competitive-paid jobs were placed in 2024.
Consultation services is a participant's first step in beginning the community first services and supports (cfss) program. Participants will meet with their designated mrci representative to develop a person-centered service delivery plan. The purpose of consultation services is to educate, write the service delivery plan (if requested), review the service delivery plan, and provide ongoing support.mrci is proud to offer both consultation services and cfss. In compliance with regulations set by dhs, we can only provide one of these services to an individual.
Community first services and supports (cfss) is a minnesota program that will replace personal care assistance (pca) and the consumer support grant (csg) beginning 10/01/2024. Cfss is meant to expand people's choices regarding how they receive their services, including who can provide services, additional support for writing plans, more self-direction options and the ability to purchase goods to aid a person's independence.mrci is proud to have been awarded the contract from mn dhs to provide financial management service (budget model) for cfss participants statewide. Anyone using cfss must have a financial management services provider and/or agency like mrci.
