Restoration projects - aims to control the spread of aggressive bamboo species and promote a diverse mix of native trees to create a balanced forest ecosystem. The accomplishments between 2023 and 2024 include construction of a 200 square meter greenhouse for seeding growth and maintenance. Cleared two one hectare plots of bamboo dominated forest and planted approx 2500 plants per plot and a total of 5502 trees from 19 species , including fast growing, mid growing and slow growing species and over 400 plantain trees and intercropped corn in experimental plots.

Conservation storytelling - in 2024 the capturing the clouds project used storytelling and visual media to promote conservation in the andean cloud forest. With manu's support we produced a short video highlighting our two day enviormental education program wuith local schools at wayqecha biological station. A printed photo album of these activites is now available at the stations reception area. We also documented the ukuku raymi festival in the juan velasco alvarado community, which gathered over 600 participants to celebrate the andean bear and cloud forest culture.
