Manufacturing Renaissance

Established in 2005, the chicagoland manufacturing renaissance council (cmrc) is a network that convenes stakeholders from different sectors who support the programs and policies that expand the manufacturing sector in the chicagoland area as a strategic vehicle for promoting inclusion, community and economic development.

Exposes, inspires, prepares, and supports youth and young adults for careers in manufacturing through 4 program models:manufacturing connect: career exposure, training and supports for in-school youth, ages 14-18.young manufacturers association: peer support, training, supports and leadeership development for young adults ages 18-29.instructors apprenticeship for advanced manufacturing: training and professional development for teachers and instructors providing manufacturing related training and career pathways programming.career pathways consulting services: training and technical assistance activities that complement mr programs, customized for strategic partners and employers.
