Mission
The rey center provides programs that celebrate curiosity and discovery by providing an opportunity for regional residents and visitors to learn about and experience art, science, and nature. Through programs (such as lectures, literary discussion groups, and art workshops, art gallery exhibits featuring local and regional artists, nature exploration programs, community gardens and astronomy nights) participants gain knowledge and first hand experience with the lovable antics of rey's creation, curious george, as an inspiration. The rey center youth programs provide an opportunity for children and families to discover nature and the arts through outdoor exploration and activities. Programs such as family astronomy nights, arts and nature camps, curious george story time, and nature explorations provide an enjoyable experience while developing life-long love for the arts and the natural world.
