Serve as an agency of the separate six town councils of martha's vineyard and the supportive day program to serve various needs of senior population.

Respite inovations - respite innovations is a home companion service supporting older adults living with dementia and memory impairments and gives their caregivers more time for respite. The program is especially designed for those living in remote areas of the island community and for those who prefer a one-on-one experience. Respite innovations eliminates the barriers of geographic location and provides access to respite services and social opportunities through weekly engaging companion visits of 2 hours or more in the home. Respite innovations provides more caregiver support and a quality person centered experience for the care recipient.

Emergency food program: mvcl is the local non-profit member of the greater boston food bank and coordinates the emergency food distribution sites for low income families. This program is funded by grants and donations.
