Mission

The purpose of the foundation is to maintain an endowment to provide supplemental funding to ability now bay area (anba) in times of financial need when the organization's own revenue generation is not adequate to cover the operating expenses to serve those enrolled in the organization's programs. While anba should aspire to operate with a balance of revenue and expense, the endowment was created to ensure anba would not have to endure the consequences of being under funded by fee-for-service sources and by foundation and individual donors. The foundation owns a building commonly known as 4500 lincoln avenue in oakland, california, to house the programs of anba.
