The primary mission of the organization is to provide homeless veterans, and other veterans in need, with comprehensive services that will enable them to rejoin their communities as productive citizens. Through community partnerships and specialized programming, the Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training offers supportive services to other sectors of the community; thus, promoting enhanced individual and community resilience.

Programs

MCVET provides community socialization through meaningful experiences, various mental health therapies, and transportation to and from all appointments throughout the year. We utilize a fleet of five vehicles to ensure clients have the ability to accomplish their goals and tasks. MCVET provides a safe haven for veterans to receive wrap around services including hair cuts, meals, housing, socialization, and mental health supportive services.

MCVET provided winter emergency shelter to more than 3000 individuals, along with more than 10,000 meals over the course of five months in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Homeless Services.
