Mac runs educational conferences (aka "mac meetings"), in bringing in local regional and national speakers on topics in animal welfare. Standing conferences include whole cat workshop and all about dogs (both typically held in the spring), and a hot topics session in autumn. These sessions are not onky educational; they enable networking amongst the participants, and are integral to mac's mission to create forums for dialogue and strategic collaboration to reduce the number of homeless, neglected, displaced, and abused companion animals.
The animatch program assists in the transfer of animals from animal welfare organizations with limited resources to those within the state that have a better ability to find the pets a "forever" home.over 3,281 dogs and 280 cats have been assisted since the program's inception.
