The purpose of the massachusetts chapter of the american collge of cardiology is to foster the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases by promoting scientific interaction and educational activities amond cardiovasular specialists in massachusetts. The chapter also functional as a resource for local and state governmental and professional organizations concerning issued related to vascular disease. The chaper also works in conjunction with the american college of cardiology on cardiovascular issues in the national level, including education, advocacy and quality issues. The ultimate goal of the chapter and the acc is to insurance the highest possible quality and availibility of cardiovascular health care.
