Mission
Our mission is to unite Massachusetts PK-12 Educational Technology Administrators public private independent charter parochial into one professional association for the purpose of advocating for and supporting the vision policies practices and funding for historical current and cutting-edge technology within all aspects of teaching learning and professional productivity. METAA began when a group of Massachusetts Technology Directors meeting as a special interest group of MassCUE decided it was worthwhile and important to have a professional organization whose advocacy efforts goals and professional development activities were all in support of the school technology leader Technology Director or CIO or CTO. From that original small special interest group METAA has grown to be a statewide organization.
Programs

METAA offered intensive online training courses for CTOs and aspiring CTOs based on COSNs Framework of essential Skills. This course offers graduate credit and a METAA Certificate which is accepted by most school districts in Massachusetts.
METAA offered our annual Cyber Summit Conference - Participate in three dynamic deep-dive sessions designed to empower you to tackle todays most pressing cybersecurity challenges. Through real-world examples expert insights and hands-on exercises youll gain the tools to strengthen your districts defenses and respond effectively to cyber incidents. In addition to these sessions Day 1 features an intimate opportunity to connect with select vendors particularly those specializing in cybersecurity and IT operations. This smaller focused setting allows for meaningful conversations and tailored solutions to address your districts unique needs. Dont miss this opportunity to build resilience and ensure your organization is prepared for the unexpected.
