The CAPP (Comprehensive Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention) program teaches positive youth development and teen pregnancy prevention through school based, after school and community based programming in which we see more than 1300 youth annually in programs that span 10 15 consecutive weeks and inter-agency collaborations to impact system changes that promote racial and ethnic health equity across all the services and programs we offer. MISN has been offering programming and services in Newburgh since 1990, and youth programming in collaboration with the Newburgh Enlarged City School District since 1995. The agency has also implemented the Teen Outreach Program (TOP), Be Proud Be Responsible, and Making Proud Choices.
The CHA (Community Health Advocate) Program assists over 1,000 community members annually with health enrollment and access issues in Orange, Dutchess, Putnam, Ulster, and Sullivan counties. CHA (Community Health Advocates) provides free and confidential individual counseling and education, community presentations to individuals, families, advocates and providers about health insurance advocacy matters.
