Mission
Promotion of social welfare to primarily promote the common good and general welfare of the people of plantation estates community, a continuing care retirement community owned and operated by acts retirement life communities, inc. The organization raises funds from its members and uses the funds to support its rereational and social activities, make donations and contribute to and administer an appreciation fund for the benefit of non-members.

The residents association sponsors a monthly magazine, the p e journal, which is a 12-page magazine with stories and colored pictures written and published by the residents, often about the residents themselves. The journal is distributed free to all residents each month. Also, the residents association sponsors a library which loans books to residents and staff. In addition, the library has newspapers and current magazines available for reading in the library.
