Maude kerns art center's exhibits program produces ten to twelve shows annually featuring local, regional, and national artists. All exhibits are open to the public free of charge, although donations are appreciated and often received. The art center embraces a wide variety of styles and media, experience, and background. Exhibis can range from fiber arts inspired by native american quilting traditions to site-specific artist designed gallery installations of challenging work of political and social significance. In all of these instances, the quality and professionalism of the art brings to the community diverse artistic expressions.
Maude kerns art center produces the annual art in the vineyard festival featuring over 150 artists and attended by approximately 15,000 community members each year. It exposes a broad spectrum of the community to the visual arts as well as providing a sales venue for artists. In 2021 and 2022 the festival was cancelled due to covid-19 pandemic restrictions. The festival is scheduled to take place in 2024.
