Mission

To provide theological education and religious/christian outreach for ministers in the northern region of malawi

Programs

2 programs

Operation and Staffing of Bethel Bible College (BBC) in Mzuzu, Malawi. In 2024, the Bible College enrolled 16 full-time students in addition to four full-time interns and 10 part-time students. New housing was added, as well as a heavy investment in campus security measures due to increased crime. Back-up power supplies were also installed due to increased power cuts. The main Mzuzu campus as well as our off-site Msongwe campus were staffed and maintained with a year-round presence of students, staff, teachers, outreach programs, and our ongoing partnership with Zola Zola Community Center. The Bible College campus also serves as the Malawian office for our ministry, with three full-time staff in 2024 residing on the premises. Impact from the Bible College to Mzuzu city and the surrounding villages where outreaches take place is in the thousands.

Thekero Rural Youth Center. We continued the construction and development of the rural retreat/outreach center in Thekero. Retreats continued on the site while construction was ongoing. Four youth camps were held (quarterly) throughout 2024 during the school holidays for youths from the urban slums. Programs included housing, food, transportation, classes, team-building exercises, games/activities, and religious instruction. Local impact is felt in the way of jobs provided. Primary impact is to the urban youths who are bussed in for the programs. In 2024 approximately 100 youths participated in retreats. When the center is complete, students from the Bible College will use the retreat center for their practicals, as they will run and oversee all of the retreats, putting into practice the things they have learned at the Bible College.
