Mission
McIntosh Seed is a grass roots community based organization whose work is guided by the social, economic, environment and cultural interest of the community. We provide quality education, business opportunities and environmental protection and restoration.

McIntosh Seed opened a fresh produce market with fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs all from local farmers. The food systems work provides the community with access to fresh, locally grown produce, food security and help local farmers generate income and expand the market for their products. This program was implemented in conjuction with a food pantry for low-wealth single parent households in order to help families with their need for food.
McSeed introduced college bound high school students to life inside a community based non-profit organization. We provide programs that promote the development of leadership skills and civic responsibility, while engaging youth in understanding cultural differences. The youth programs also provide students the opportunity to participate in summer jobs.
MCSEED serves as a bridge between community members and local decision makers by creating opportunities for non-traditional workers to obtain jobs and gain employment skills.
