CCLC is an all-volunteer group and cannot meet the great need for land conservation and stewardship that exists in Lincoln and Western Lane County. McKenzie River Trust has agreed to continue such work in these portions of our service area. They are an accredited land trust with staff for landowner outreach, land or easement acquisition for conservation, and stewardship of these holdings. They have accepted one of our conservation easements in 2023 and we expect they will accept two or three of our easements in 2024. This funding supports those efforts as well as provide additional funding for more conservation work.
