Mcminnville School District 40 Education Foundation

The mini Grant program supports teachers and staff with specific students needs at all grade levels. Those needs may include books, science materials, manipulatives and classroom items to enhance the delivery of subject matter and increase the mastery of concepts. More than 3,300 students are served.

The Science program offers hands-on science experiences outside the classroom to every elementary student in kindergarten through 5th grade. The program is aligned with the state science standards established by the Oregon Dept of Education. More than 3,000 students are served.

Elementary students in the McMinnville School District participates in a program of visual or expressive arts focus that can include direct instruction from the artist, supplies, hands-on experience, assemblies, and professional development for teachers to support or enhance art in the classroom.

Elementary, middle and high school students participate in a voluntary incentive program known as "Battle of the Books". This program encourages students to read age appropriate books and have fun while competing with peers at the district and statewide levels. All books are provided by the McMinnville Education Foundation.
