Grantees studied Big Horn Sheep nutrition in Grand Teton National Park; rare plant populations on the shore of Lake Yellowstone; and Lake Yellowstone nutrition changes due to control of invasive Lake Trout. We continued to support bird research including for Harlequin Ducks, Evening Grosbeaks, Great Gray Owls, and Red Crossbills as well as sagebrush bird species. Vital bumblebees also were studied for negative effects of parasites. Public outreach projects included on-going support for Annual Sandhill Crane Festival in Teton Valley, Idaho, and Sporting Lead Free to reduce toxic lead shot used by hunters.
