Melanoma Know More strives to reduce the impact of melanoma through awareness, education, support of medical research, and assistance to persons affected by melanoma.

Free Monthly Skin Cancer Screening Clinics: On the second Saturday of every month from 10am - noon, a cancer screening clinic is scheduled and supported by dermatologists, nurses, and administrative staff, who volunteer their time to detect skin cancer, specifically melanoma. If one of the volunteer dermatologists notes a suspicious finding that could potentially be a melanoma, the patient is expedited within four weeks from the clinic date to a dermatologist for further evaluation and a possible biopsy. Melanoma Know More is the only organization in the US to provide such consistent screenings.In 2024, Melanoma Know More provided 10 free skin cancer screening clinics, 476 patients were screened during the year.
Melanoma Know More Education & Prevention: Melanoma Know More in partnership with the Girl Scouts, created a sun safety badge programs. An online education guide was provided for Troop Leaders and girls to learn about sun safety. At the completion, girls are able to earn a badge. This program is available at no cost to any Girl Scout.
Melanoma Know More Community Outreach and Prevention: Melanoma Know More partnered with Swim Safe Pool Management to provide free sunscreen at area pools by deploying sponsored sunscreen dispensers. With the collaboration, free sunscreen was provide for nine area pools throughout the Greater Cincinnati Community. Using SPF 30 sunscreen is a sun-protective practice that can prevent the risk of skin cancer. Impact was estimated at 11,000 individuals supported. Melanoma Know More also created an education and prevention video specifically for Swim Safe Pool's lifeguard training. Impact was around 400 lifeguards. For Patient Outreach, Melanoma Know More researched creating a program using AI to increase to help expand cancer screening opportunities for patients. Melanoma Know More also participated in community health fairs to increase awareness and promote sun safety.
