Men of melchizedek provides general support for the priesthood of the holy roman catholic church and of the eastern rite catholic churches over whom the supreme pontiff exercises his primacy through the congregation for the eastern churches, and to find solutions to the problems confronting catholic priests that conform to the authentic teaching of the holy catholic church and of the holy father and his predecessors.
