The society concentrates on preserving the history of the Mendota, IL area. It maintains and operates 3 museum facilities all located in the City of Mendota: 1) The Hume-Carnegie Museum, 2) The Union Depot Railraod Museum, 3) The Breaking of the Prairie Museum.
