Opening of new permanent supportive housing program at waverly place apartments for 15 chronically homeless adults living with serious mental illness.

Housing assistance programs: between 7/1/2023 and 6/30/2024 mha provided more than intensive support and case management for individuals living with mental illness and/or hiv/aids in the community as well as financial assistance to allow homeless individuals with hiv/aids to obtain and maintain stable housing. Mha also provided more than 5,000 nights of emergency and transitional shelter.in 2024 mha enrolled 22 transition age young adults into our youth empowerment program and has placed 18 in permanent housing.

Housing properties: mha continues to provide safe, decent, affordable housing for individuals who were homeless and are living with mental illness.

Community support programs - mha provided 3,023 units of social and recreational activities through the agency's county-wide friendship center program. Spring and summer picnics were held on a regular basis and well attended and we have re-opened weekly in-person meetings in daly city, redwood city, and belmont sites.mha staff provided more than 19,000 hours of intensive community support to formerly homeless adults living with mental illness in scattered site housing throughout san mateo county and of those, more than 5,000 hours of rehabilitation services to more than 650 individuals.
