Mission

The mission of the Merced LGBTQ+ Alliance is to advocate for the interests of the LGBTQ+ community within Merced County. We celebrate our diversity and advocate for justice and opportunities for members of our vulnerable community. We provide education by giving presentations about LGBTQ+ issues in schools and other public venues, as well as by using social media channels and the corporation's website to promote awareness. We also engage in charitable activities by promoting the social welfare of the LGBTQ+ community to eliminate prejudice and discrimination, and to defend human and civil rights. We provide the community with mental health contacts, healthcare provider contacts, and other community resource contacts for LGBTQ+.
