Workforce Development and Adult Education - Job Training and Workforce Supportive Services assisted job seekers to steadily increase their job readiness skills, determine their career path, and remove barriers to entering and staying in the workforce. Workplace assessments were provided to help identify appropriate career choices based on fit and talents and/or the need for academic remediation required for a specific training program. The Hospital Worker Readiness Program (HWRP) was offered to individuals interested in accessing entry level jobs in health care who presented with an affinity for this career pathway. This 55-hour curriculum provided general job readiness skills and also basic information related specifically to working in health care. 86% of participants graduated and 85% were offered positions within the Mercy Health Hospital system post-graduation. MNMs Workforce Supportive Services Program (WSSP) provided 5,700 interactions offering access to community resources, including financial support from MNM to mitigate barriers, and coaching to help ensure training program completion, long-term employment retention, and financial stability. Finally, a group of selected WSSP participants were engaged in Elevating Circle gatherings three times during the year which created a safe space for individuals to share their successes and how they navigated challenges while working towards building a financially stable future for themselves and their families.
