The mesa grande retriever club is a hunt test club recognized by the american kennel club (akc) the objectives of the club are to further the advancement of hunting test breeds, to protect and advance the interest of hunting tests and encourage sportsmanlike conduct at such events, to conduct hunt tests and any other event for which the club is eligible under the rules and regulations of the american kennel club, to disseminate knowledge, conduct classes, in and promote the training of purebred dogs, and to encourage the training of judges.
