Mission
The mission of mesa verde museum association (mvma) is to be the innovative educational partner that inspires lifelong stewardship of the region's cultural and natural heritage to ensure that mesa verde national park (mvnp) is preserved and protected for the enjoyment and education of current and future generations. In 2024, mvma advanced its mission to inspire stewardship of mvnp by funding tribal consultation meetings, cultural demonstrator events, and volunteer events. Mvma also funded a physical sciences internship supporting mancos river restoration efforts, and air quality monitoring and data management. Mvma also enhanced the mesa verde museum exhibit redesign by funding de-installation and future fabrication of exhibits. Public wifi was installed at the museum and ranger club to support education and visitor services. Mvma funded research projects on historic furniture and an analysis of faunal remains in mvnp's collections. Mvma also funded training for interpretive staff.
