Adopt dogs to good, responsible families who will provide a safe and loving environment for the adopted dogs. We adopted out 168 dogs during 2024. We use Facebook, our website, and free websites to describe our adoptable dogs to potential adopters. In addition we host or participate in various adoption events.

Education and community outreach - We use our website and Facebook page to educate about the importance of 1) Spay and neuter programs to reduce pet over population; 2) Heartworm prevention to reduce the number of dogs that get infected and then owner surrendered or abandoned because of the expensive treatments required to save the dog; 3) Microchipping animals to help them be returned to their owners if the pet is lost or stolen; 4) Cruelty and threats to animals and ways to avoid them, such as excessive heat or cold, hurricane preparedness and evacuation issues, toxic food and plants, and seasonal issues that occur around Easter, fireworks, Thanksgiving and Christmas; 5) The benefits of adopting an older or senior dog and the joy they can bring to your life.
