Mission
The purpose of mpa is to: a) share health, safety, and environmental information; b) determine the need for additional data and sponsor additional studies; c) evaluate, publish and generally make available all health, safety and environmental information; d) monitor and participate in regulatory and other government proceedings concerning bamm chemicals; e) assist members in product stewardship activities; f) take all actions in compliance with applicable laws.

A reach task force has been formed under mpa to facilitate compliance with european reach registration requirements, including the assembling of hazard, exposure and risk related information to meet those registration requirements and the conduct of new studies where necessary to those requirements. All members of mpa are members of the task foce, but the task force also includes some non-us manufacturers who are non-members for mpa. The task force will function as a 'clearing house" to facilitate the data sharing and cost sharing required under reach.
