To improve the health of the greater knoxville community by reducing the misuse of alcohol and other substances through prevention, harm reduction, and recovery support.

During this reporting period rops trained participants and distributed 8,800 naloxone kits and another 10,870 kloxxado kits. 7,750 fentanyl test strips were distributed, and 240 pounds of syringes were safely disposed of. First fentanyl awareness day event held with over 60 community partners.media campaign on overdose prevention reached thousands of households. Over 2,400 individuals and organizations participated in international overdose awareness day event in august 2024.

The tn aces initiative aimed to educate east tennessee physicians on the connection between maternal experiences of adverse childhood experiences (aces) and later life substance misuse in children. Services included academic detailing, implementation of an aces screening tool, and distribution of an academic toolkit. From 10/1/23 to 9/30/24, 66 physicians received academic detailing and resources, and 35 area physicians attended the east tn women's health summit focusing on these topics.
