Mission

Micah 6 community is a community development organization working to build the neighborhoods that pontiac deserves. We manage community gardens, a produce store that works to fight the food desert, children's programming, community events and meals, and general community support.

Webster - in 2016, micah 6 community purchased the abandoned webster elementary school to turn into a community center. As the building has been going through development, it is being used as a storage space for programming materials and for other non-profits. It is also building relationships with the neighborhood and the rest of pontiac as micah 6 is developing plans for the community center.

Community houses - provide a place in the neighborhood where neighbors can hang out and come to events, as well as providing housing for some of our full-time volunteers so that they can live intentionally among our neighbors.

We have a variety of free community events throughout the year, we are working to turn an abandoned elementary school into a community center, we raise chickens to give their eggs to neighbors, we host volunteer events where we educate people on life in pontiac, we also have two events a week where we offer free meals in community.
