Mission
Maase provides opportunities for leadership development, collarboration, and advocacy. We do this in partnership with our members - to shape policies and practicies to improve outcomes for students with disabilities.
Programs
3 programs
Summer institute: an annual gathering of special education leaders to foster leadership development and shared learning on critical topics in special education. The multi-day event features keynote presentations, state updates, breakout sessions, networking and opportunities to engage with national experts. Attendees leave inspired, connected, and equipped for the upcoming school year.
Mitten project: manage the creation of free virtual learning materials for individuals with disabilities as outlined in the state of michigan budget boilerplate.
27j administration & principal training initiatives aimed at enhancing leadership and workforce capacity in special education across michigan. Together, these initiatives strenghten the special education workforce, improve educational outcomes for students with disabilities, and align with state goals to enhance special educaton services.
