Developed and conducted a variety of trainings for multidisciplinary teams of health care professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, care managers, nurses, and social workers) in health systems to manage patients with chronic pain and substance use disorders. These trainings were directed at teams caring for patients with medicare, medicaid, and commercial insurance as well as the uninsured.
A.developed and implemented live and on-demand trainings for health care professionals (physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, care managers, nurses, and social workers) in health systems who serve patients with serious or terminal illnesses. The training approach is to provide a framework of conversation guidance to better understand and honor the patient's choices, priorities, goals, and values to better inform their end of life care.
