Mission

Our mission is to construct the importance of climate change as a threat multiplier to Pacific Islands. Our network seeks to build urgency and cohesion through local communities and create a model that is resilient in the face of climate change. We exist as a local hub for climate injustice shedding light on the many public policy issues affecting our community such as emergency preparedness and disaster response food security extreme heat and tropical diseases. The Organizations most significant activities during 2022 include advocacy outreach and cultural work.

The Kataly Foundation reallocates resources to bolster the economic political and cultural influence of Black Indigenous and all communities of color. By reshaping our connection to capital the environment and one another we aim to redistribute and redefine wealth to foster transformation abundance and regeneration. The funds were awarded to MCCA following the devastation caused by typhoon Mawar on Guam where MCCA spearheaded mutual aid efforts. These funds were utilized throughout 2024 to sustain salaries and recovery programs.

NDN COLLECTIVE is an Indigenous-led organization dedicated to building Indigenous power through organizing activism philanthropy grantmaking capacity-building and narrative change. We create sustainable solutions on Indigenous terms. The NDN Collective Community Action Fund supported our on-the-ground disaster response and just recovery efforts post-Typhoon Mawar on Guam in May of 2023. These funds directly supported 10 other organizations 15 heavily impacted families and staff time to coordinate the collection and distribution of additional relief donations totaling over $300,000.
