Mission

Microsurgical research programs teach fellow doctors the latest techniques in microsurgery, which involves the reattachment of nerve cells, arteries, and other soft tissues. In addition to the 1,100 patients benefitting by having reconstructive microsurgery, 4 fellow doctors recieve training in the art of microsurgery. Microsurgical Transplantation Research Foundation also provides medical research including the publications of medical research papers and presentations at national and international symposiums on specific medical procedures related to microsurgery for the benefit of doctors, institutions, and ultimately patients worldwide. In addition, approximately 20% of the patients treated are done at no cost as no patient is refused treatment.
