Community archiving and curation and reuse: selecting, assembling, and presenting a new piece of work taken from archival audiovisual collections (includes: exhibits, film screenings, print publishing, documentary filmmaking, art)

Access and discovery for all: making the digital objects of our collections available for free to all to find, view, listen, and interact with the content. This includes digital objects online in platforms such as the internet archive and aviary and creating transcripts and captions for those, as well as giving access to non-av items in person (smpte journals, photos, paper docs, reference collection). To help researchers identify relevant archival collections in order to assist in finding and retrieving what they are searching for. Includes creating transcripts, cataloging and describing (internet archive, archives space, aviary), reference help through emails or phone calls, and inventorying and arranging the physical collections at bca to be pulled easily and accurately.

Consulting: includes teaching, grant writing assistance, mediating between vendors and clients, preservation advice, preservation assessments, media asset management, inventorying, cataloging, building and troubleshooting analog to digital workstations
