The purposes of the Corporation are charitable and educational, each within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (or any corresponding provision(s) of any future United States internal revenue law) and Section 23701d of the California Revenue and Taxation Code (or any corresponding provision(s) of any future California internal revenue law). In the context of these general purposes, the Corporation shall improve the conditions of the public realm of the greater Mid-Market area in San Francisco, CA, and to provide assistance to the poor and disadvantaged in that community.
