Midcoast Humane

Midcoast humane is working to expand low cost access to wellness and spay/neuter clinics for the public. In 2024, we serviced 260 animals in public wellness clinics. A wellness exam can include vaccinations, microchipping and flea/tick preventatives. During our spay/neuter public clinics, midcoast humane's veterinarian spayed or nuetered 290 animals at a reduced cost.

Our community outreach programs provide services to promote animal retention. A big part of our mission includes helping community members care for their animals in their homes. In 2024, midcoast humane paid $17,546 in public assistance and $3,630 for low cost spay/neuter vouchers redeemed at local veterinary offices.

Midcoast humane operates a thrift store in boothbay harbor. All merchandise sold by the thrift store is donated to us by community members and all proceeds go directly to supporting our mission.midcoast humane operates an online swag shop.
