Mission
Middle way house works to empower survivors of domestic abuse, sexual violence, and human trafficking through a wide range of supportive services and advocacy.
Programs

Transitional housing program: provided housing for 35 adults and 85 children; provided ongoing advocacy case management to 32 families; provided 53 children with weekly homework/mentoring sessions.
Legal program: filed 172 protective orders and monitored 5,168 court cases. Served 516 new clients and 46 continuing clients.
Crisis intervention services provides on-site supportive services and advocacy to survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and human trafficking. Advocates can report to area locations such as iu health bloomington hospital, the bloomington police department and the monroe county clerk's office as well as at middle way house. In addition to these on-site services the crisis intervention services program operates and oversees middle way's 24-hour crisis line. Crisis intervention coordinators facilitate peer-led support groups to survivors of sexual violence and incest. All of these services are provided free of charge to the survivors.
