Learn-ride-play training - midland polo provides through its members and volunteers several different programs to teach all ages how to play polo. Its motto is learn-ride-play and taught through its polo school. For individuals without any background in horsemanship, learn to ride classes and clinics are available. These classes teach individuals the basic knowledge of how to handle, groom, and ride a horse. Those skills are a foundation to allow individuals to further improve their horsemanship with learning to play polo. Learning to play polo elevates not only the experience in horsemanship but it also requires great skill to command a horse while swinging a stick/mallet to hit a ball on the ground with the ultimate prize of scoring a goal. In competition, two teams of four players are competing to score goals and win a game. Mp, through its members and volunteers, provides classes and clinics to help individuals learn to play polo. Midland polo strives to cultivate future polo players and polo ponies to continue the legacy of the sport of polo.

Tournament and leagues - games and tournaments are hosted onsite to allow members to compete and better assess skill levels. As an example, mp is a choice host for university/intercollegiate polo teams to compete. These competitions also allow the larger public to attend, watch, learn, and appreciate the sport of polo.
