In 2024, midtown indy deepened its community engagement by strengthening relationships, increasing visibility through regular attendance at neighborhood meetings and events, and enhancing outreach via the widely distributed midtown indy magazine, which reached 24,000 residents and businesses across three issues. We also played a role in supporting and advocating for the formation of an official committee for tarkington park, fostering collaborative stewardship and future improvements. These efforts elevated midtown indy's presence, expanded fundraising support, and reinforced our role as a trusted connector between residents, businesses, and local government.

In 2024, midtown indy advanced food access and minority entrepreneurship through the development of a community-focused urban farm in partnership with kheprw institute, mapleton-fall creek development corporation, crossroads ame church, and common grounds institute. The project, which will launch in 2025, was fully planned in 2024 and is designed to empower a minority farmer with access to land, resources, and support addressing food insecurity while modeling agricultural entrepreneurship and ownership. Midtown indy also began planning a transformative mixed-use development featuring a grocery store, housing, and commercial space to further expand food access and catalyze neighborhood revitalization.
