Mission
The Mile High Labrador Retriever Mission is a dog rescue. We are 100% run by volunteers. We serve to save labrador retrievers and labrador retriever mixes from shelters beyond Colorado's borders. We aim to take possession of these dogs before the dogs being euthanized in overcrowded shelters. We also help dogs surrendered from their homes. We place all dogs in private volunteer foster homes, get the dog required shots, microchipped, & spayed/neutered, and necessary medical treatments, then make them available for adoption. Potential adopters complete an application process and are screened for potential matches with the dogs we have. All dogs are spayed/neutered before adoption and up-to-date on vaccinations. We are also in good standing and licensed with Colorado PACFA Licensing. In 2024 we adopted over 560 dogs to new families. In our work, we also aim to educate the public about spay/neutering dogs to prevent unwanted litters and help control/prevent pet overpopulation.
