Mill springs academy is a value-based educational community dedicated to the academic, physical and social growth of those students who have not realized their full potential in traditional classroom settings.

Athletic programs mill springs academy's goal is to assist students in establishing a healthy lifestyle and develop an interest in at least one activity that will provide life-long positive experiences. Over 100 athletes compete in 17 sports teams for 6th - 12th grade. Teams included girl's volleyball, soccer, middle, jv, girls and boys' basketball, wrestling, swimming, baseball, esports, bowling, flag football, and track and field.the sports program at mill springs academy is a vital part of student life. There are experienced and dedicated coaches who work hard to promote a positive team environment for the athletes. Mill springs academy participates in the atlanta athletic conference and giaa (georgia independent athletic association) with some sports teams. Mill springs has won various championships over the years including; baseball, girls/boys basketball, flag football, soccer, and volleyball. Mill springs has also had many athletes participate in state in wrestling, swimming, and track and field.
