RED Supported a wide array of local, national, and international research partnerships across 2024, including eight major studies and consulting projects. - A deep canvassing mixed-methods study in Lexington, Mississippi examing trust in the police force (notably low among African American men). - Psychographic analysis of moderate white women voting behaviors . - A monthly messaging survey to women voters on 2024 election attitudes - A mental health survey development with Portland Empowered for BIPOC Students - A civil society resilience study with Hope-Based communication in Europe - A survey program for World Wildlife Fund and Maine Roads to Quality - Development of the Mindbridge Center Research Affiliate program (MCAP) - Leadership of the Countering Extermism Directive (CED), including focus groups and coding of transcript from women identifying with far-right ideologies. RED expanded capacity with the onboarding of two research scientist and involved interns from University of Southern Maine. The team also supported Mindbridges first publication submission and launched the Global Needs Survey to inform future strategic outreach.

In 2024, HRTI conducted direct community engagement and built capacity for long-term systems change through research, outreach, and planned clinic training. Some key accomplishments are: presenting at the Black History Month Wellness Fair to discuss trauma in BIPOC communities, co-develop a mental health survey with Portland Empowered to discuss racial trauma in schools, deliver keynotes addressed at the Mental Health Symposium for Immigrants and BIPOC communities, participate in high-profile events such as Kwibuka30 (attended by 800+ Individuals) and a Juneteenth racial justice panel, initiating partnerships with university programs to expand psychology and social work training in cultrually responsive care, and supporting the recruitment of BIPOC clinicians and interns despite persistent staffing challenges.
