To encourage, promote, assist, recognize & reward academic achievement for local high school students' academic achievement. An endowment program to continue long after mining ceases in the area if that should ever occur in the future. Granting awards or incentives on the basis of academic, citizenship, leadership, attendance, & other achievement, improvement or effort. But no such award shall be for athletic achievement or improvement.
