Minnesota crop improvement association is an organization dedicated to improving the productivity, profitability and competitive position of producers, processors and distributors of agricultural products by providing services to enable them to provide high-quality products to minnesota, the united states and the world.

Foundation seeds - increase and distribute seed stocks of improved varieties of field crops in cooperation with the university of minnesota to eligible seed producers. Serve as marketing agent for the university of minnesota to license crop varieties developed by the university to seed companies.
Quality assurance services - mcia offers an array of quality assurance services to its members including field inspections, seed conditioning facility inspections, quality assurance program development, and quality management audits.
