Professional Development for Educators: MMEA provides professional development through online articles & continuing education training in education methods, music specific pedagogy, assessment, technology & inclusivity to reach all learners. They serve more than half of Minnesotas K-12 music educators through these services. This is inclusive of an annual professional development convention each February & a professional publication called The Interval.
Advocacy: MMEA provides research-based facts to school board members, parents of music students & the community to ensure the continued presence of music education for all students in K-12 schools. MMEA responded to requests from the community, including media, for information about the status of music education in Minnesotas schools.
