Minnesota Technology Foundation

Launched in fall 2023, the minnesota aspirations in computing (mnaic) program supports young women in exploring and pursuing careers in technology. Led by the minnesota technology foundation, the program offers high school students access to awards, paid internships, mentorship, job shadowing, scholarships, and hands-on learning experiences. Mnaic is designed to develop technical, leadership, and entrepreneurial skills while expanding pathways for young women in computing. A cornerstone of the program is the award for aspirations in computing, open to students in grades 9 through 12.mnaic is one of many regional affiliates of the national center for women & information technology (ncwit), which provides program guidance and support. This partnership ensures that minnesota award recipients are eligible for national recognition through ncwit's aspirations in computing program.

Scholarship programs:the foundation manages several scholarships related to its programs. Scholarships were awarded through the aspirations in computing program and the women leading in technology program. Both programs raised funds that are managed by the foundation for scholarships to college women in stem degree programs and also non-college bootcamps that train women in various stem program area's. Scholarships are awarded based on funds raised.

Mentoring and internships and other program activities:the foundation is actively engaged to create mentoring experiences and relationships which connect students with experieneced professionals in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math (stem). Special projects also include stem experience tours, connecting students with companies to tour their facilities so they can view what a stem career might consist of.
