To promote safety, security, and operational excellence within the mission aviation community and related agencies.

Research, accident investigation and consulting are also key activities as we try to determine causes of accidents and how to prevent them. Currently, an exciting program is making good progress for in-flight data tracking and analysis. Field research on current attitudes, best practices, industry standards, trends, and safety information is necessary to assist our member organizations maintain safe operations. In addition to the expenses above, volunteers donate time and expenses valued at $24,651.

Publications and communications: as information is gathered through research, MSI passes it on through publications and communications via all means possible. Our free newsletters and publications are widely distributed and mailed all over the world to over 25 countries,. Over 3000 people receive them on a quarterly basis. In addition to the expenses above, volunteers donated time and expenses valued at $17,256.

Other program services include participation in special events such as EAA AirVenture, Flight Safety Foundation, International Society of Air Safety Investigators, International Association of Missionary Aviation, and National Business Aviation Association where MSI promotes safety in missionary aviation to a broad audience. In addition to their noted expenses, volunteers donated time and expenses valued at $7,394.
