Mission Travis Mercy

Dental care is provided at least eight times per month. Such care is especially difficult to obtain among the uninsured and underinsured population. Care provided includes complete examination with x-rays, a treatment plan, follow-up appointments for extractions, fillings, root canals, and hygiene services. Additional services in 2024 included dentures, crowns, and bridges. All dental care is provided free of charge to the patient. Patient care is delivered by dedicated volunteer dentists. As in medical operations, this volunteer workforce represents an expense that the organization does not incur. In fiscal year 2024, mercy clinic provided care for 717 unduplicated dental patients. The value of dental care provide was 286,702.

Mercy clinic's commitment to community service is traditionally accomplished by regularly scheduled health fair events. Large scale annual health fair events are scheduled, reaching many in our local community. Mobile mammography services and women's health clinics were also provided and facilitated onsite in partnership with community stakeholders 11 times in fiscal year 2024. Vision screening and diabetic eye exam events were held onsite 6 times during this year.
